SAFETY: PFA member companies commit to abiding by all market regulations, plus voluntarily commit to filing GRAS Notification with the FDA.
CLARITY: PFA member companies are clear and precise about regulatory status in their communication.
TRANSPARENCY: PFA member companies provide as much detail about our process and products as is practicable from a legal / business perspective to promote transparency, including:
- Molecules produced (identify specific protein / enzyme / compound).
- Regulatory (status of regulatory approval, use clear language per PFA guidance).
- Sustainability (provide transparent basis for claims, third-party assessments, indicate source of data).
